Hi Nancy,
I agree that Adam is very illusive. As I said in my my last post, his name appears as Benjamin's father on document based on a DAR record. It is interesting that his father's name was shown as William which was scratched out and replaced by Adam. It is all hand written and I have no idea who changed the names.Perhaps the DAR could help. I'll check. The record I have from Shanangunk Reformed Church shows Ben. being baptised 0n Nov 21, 1763 which would make him about 7 years old which would be very unusual in my church. The record also shows children of Adam and Annatie as Jannetie, bap, Feb 8, 1761 and Sarah, bap. Feb 8, 1767. I have a handwritten request for a Rev. War pension application for Benjamin that documents his service in place of his fater but never gives the father's name. I'll be happy to share what I have. Good luck! Don
