I have noted him, and he is a likely candidate. There was a Parke Genealogy done in 1909 that noted his appearance in the 1790 census in Danby, VT (see page 240 in the link below). There are other Vermont possibilities too, although Benjamin is the most likely.

You'll note that the spelling of the Park name was rather variable and so the difference of Park vs. Parks should not be an obstacle matching them up.
I have always wondered where Alma may have died. I suspect that she may have died in Clinton Co, NY since their last child seems to have been born in 1809 (perhaps you have better data on that). And I am guessing that that it is Alma that appears in the 1810 census for Peru, Clinton Co, NY as the woman who is 26-44 years of age. Jonas seems to have been married again by 1820 according to the census in McKean, Erie Co, PA (there is a different aged woman listed). Paradoxically, a properly aged Jonas does not seem to be listed in that 1820 census (perhaps a mistake?).
I see that you have posted over in the various Park forums which is the logical thing to do. There must have been great improvements in the understanding of the Park family since the book came out in 1909. Keep me posted as to what you find out.
