Hello Charles: I have been researching the Stackpole family for some 50 yrs or better. Between the Gilberts and the Stackpoles, I must have about 2800 names in my tree by now. I noticed on one of your postings, that you have been following James, of 1623 to the U.S.. I am sure you are aware of his buriel site in Rollinsford, N.H., along with several generations after him. I live about 20 miles from there and try to maintain the cemetery every few years.
My grandfather Harry Stackpole was the last of the male decendants in my direct line. He had four daughters, my mother being one of them. We are planning a trip to Ireland in the near future to "tred" on the same grounds as our ancestors. If you have any words of wisdom, I would appreciate hearing from you, or if I can be of any help on this end, please feel ffee to call on me....Looking foward to hearing from you...Karl Gilbert
