Hello Catharine:
For John Stack B 1821 +/- 4 yrs, somewhere in Ireland, with the father's forename unknown, I found 8 rcds: 1817 Kilkenny, 1817 Tipperary, 1818 Mayo, 2-1818 Limerick, 1821 Dublin, 1823 Limerick, and 1824 Limerick. None had a father forenamed Thomas.
Assuming they married in Ireland, 1846 +/- 5 yrs, for John Stack, I found 11 rcds: 3-1841 Cork, 1842 Tipperary, 1842 Cork, 1844 Cork, 1845 Kilkenny, 1846 Cork, 1847 Cork, 1850 Limerick, and 1851 Tipperary. One (likely more) MAY have a bride named Mary. Caution - since Mary is such a common name, there is a high probability of finding a false positive.
Hope this helps.
