Hello. My Grandparents came to Canada in the 1920's. I believe they came over by ship and took the train to Vancouver, B.C. I know they had some children with them and others were born in Canada. My father Alexander (named after my grandfather) was born in April 1926. He was the youngest of these Stables. There were a number of children. The oldest, I believe was Margaret Edmond born Feb. 28, 1908, and she stayed and lived her entire life in Scotland. The Stables family in my family tree were from Aberdeen, Bamfshire Scotland. My grandfather Alexander Stables, (born May 7th, 1886), in Dufftown, married Annie Moir Edmond (born Nov. 23, 1887), on December 25th, 1908. I have more information on this family tree, if it is of interest to you. I know my grandfathers brothers etc. went to the U.S.A. and either Australia or New Zealand. But, do not know much about them.
Hope this helps. Judy (Stables) Anderson
