Hey Barbara:
I pulled this off another Stabler posting by Steve Stacy.
"The family was in Wilcox County in 1850. John Stacy owned over 7000 acres of land and died in 1858. In the 1880 census (Monroe County, Ala. ) Caroline lived in Beat 7 (McKinley Post Office) Township 8, Range 5 (todays Wainwright, Ala.)"
The Stablers were from SC.Christina Stabler married Thomas J. Daniel in the 1880's.Thomas J. Daniel's family located in Conecuh Co., AL - but they had come from area of Edgefield SC and his greatgrandfather was from Edgecombe Co., NC.They are also from the Jospeh Daniel/Sarah Barnes line in Edgecombe Co., NC.
This Daniel line in Edgecombe Co NC is also the line where most of the "Alexander Daniel" are connected in early 1800's.
