The only possibility would be Bartholomeus (or some permutation as he used a variety of names beginning with Bart-) Staab. He probably died after about 1892. I've found him in Newport, KY city directories after 1888 but lose track of him after 1892. I believe he probably had family in Cincinnati as that's where he was married 21 Mar 1871 at St. Boniface RC Church. His wife died 18 Dec 1888 in Newport, KY and is buried in KY. All four children were born in Cincinnati (Rosalie d. Feb 1874 soon after birth and presumably is buried in Cincinnati). The only son (my grandfather) is buried in northern KY.
Bartholomeus (sometimes Bernard) and his wife lived on Vine St. in the Over-The-Rhine neighborhood. A dormitory of UC is on the site now -- Calhoun St.
Thanks for any help.
