Dear Jessica,

There is inaccuracy in your posting of 20.1.2002, re the marriage of Domingos Corea (Edirillarala). I refer you to Conquest of Ceylon by Father Pernao De Queroz, the official Historian of the King of Portugal who was with the Portugese Army in Sri lanka at that time He describes the wedding of Edirillarala to a Kandyan princess at the Temple of the Tooth and the associated pageantry in detail.

He has documented much about the lives of the two warrior brothers Simeon(including his marriage) and Domingos Corea possibly with bias as the Portugese hated them.

If you need other references please e mail me. Please let me have the sources of your information re this subject.

Regards,

Randunna Corea.
