I've hammered out a rough draft of the ancestry of Antao Modaller, husband of Maria Correa. Please note that I am not an expert on Sri Lankan royal genealogy, nor am I of Sri Lankan descent myself, so there may be mistakes or ommisions. I appreciate any corrections or additions made. This chart uses the Henry system, which should be easy to understand -- i.e. #1 is parent of 1.1 and 1.2, etc.

(1) Bhuvanekabahu VII, king of Kotte, b.1521 & d.1551. His issue:

(1.1) Samudra Devi m.Vidiya Bandara, regent of Kotte & had issue:

(1.1.1) Wijayapala, d.1557. He m.his 2nd cousin, Kuda Tikiri Bandara, grand-daughter of Mayadunne, king of Sitawaka and brother of Bhuvanekabahu VII of Kotte, & had issue:

( Dom Antao Modaller, d.1637. He m.Maria Corea.

(1.1.2) Dom Joao Dharmapala, king of Kotte, d.27 MAY 1597.

Maria Correa was daughter of Simao Correa, King of Sitawaka, by Isabel of Braganza. Maria's uncle was Domingo Corea (Edirille Bandara) of Chilaw, who married Dona Maria Perera, daughter of Harineswara Pandaram & Manik Biso Bandara. Any information concerning these people would be appreciated.
