Ernst family of Ceylon - anyone still there?

I am the grandson of one Dr. Adalbert Ernst, of Dutch Burgher stock who left what was then Ceylon in the 1920s with my grandmother (an Anthonisz) to settle in South Africa. My father Derek (1921-1994) was born in Kandy but I am of the first generation to be born in South Africa (1977). I would love to get in contact with any Ernsts, Anthoniszes or their descendants still in Sri Lanka, or wherever they might be scattered across the globe.

I am planning a visit to Sri Lanka in the near future - mainly for sentimental reasons; I want to see where my father was born & would appreciate some information, it would also be nice to get into contact with descendants my age (mid-20's) ... we must be what, third or fourth cousins, I guess.

For those who might possibly be interested, I have the complete paternal Ernst family genealogy from the mid-1700's; a rambling, at times incoherent but quite entertaining memoir written by my grandfather; as well as some info on the Anthonisz & Altendorf families from whom I am also descended. The family story since its arrival in South Africa is quite colourful and in miniature rather mirrors the turbulent history of my home country.

Looking forward to hearing from anybody...

Adalbert Ernst (Jr.)
