I have found a very useful reference to John Leonhard Kalenberg Van Dort 1831 -1898. He was a very accomplished Ceylonese artist. There is quite a sizeable reference to his work in the 1985 book by R K de Silva - Early Prints of Ceylon 1800-1900. If you care to email your address I will gladly photocopy and send on to you.
I have not been able to find any specific reference to the Coat of Arms you mention and sadly I have been unable to access it on the Internet, so if we do end up corresponding on email I will give you my address and I would welcome a photocopy so I can do some more 'digging'.
I presume that you are interested in the Dutch to early British period for this family connection. I have several books on the Dutch occupation but no specific reference to this family.
If you are interested in tracing more recent connections I have Directories for 1941 and 1954 where there are many Van Dort's mentioned and I will gladly send on this information if it is of interest.
Although I have an extensive lirary of Ceylones Books, sadly I do not have nor never seen Lapidarium Zeylanicum. I think that probably The British Library would be the best hope of finding a copy.
Hope to hear from you soon .

Alan Little
