Hi Benita,

I will preface this message by explaining that I am a newcomer to the internet and am just making my first forays into the world that is genealogy. George Justin Athelstan Skeen was my maternal Great Grandfather. The current generation of our particular branch of the family appear to have become somewhat detached, perhaps others have too but we live in hope, and hence we are aware of very little of the detail of our forebears lives. Ironically, since my Great great Uncle William Louis Henry was such a distinguished photographer, we are aware of a minimal archive of family pictures. Slowly with painstaking patience items are coming to light . . today I located a family group picture of my maternal Great Grandmother together with four of her offspring (identified), two female spouses and two unidentified females although one is named by christian name and may turn out to be another spouse; the other female is possibly another of her offspring, either Grace or Irene. As I learn how to transfer photographs to this infernal machine I will be happy to share them with you unless I become aware of copyright issues. Just don't rush me, eventually day will dawn! Is your museum archive of Skeen & Co.photographs in the UK and available for viewing? I will mention your shared quest to other family branch members who are both more computer literate and much more advanced in their investigations. Thank you so much for your mutual interest.

Roger Miles. (
