Fanny and May were the daughters of John Crawford - information about John is on a previous posting - He is listed as deceased on May's marriage certificate of 1890 and Fanny is May's witness which makes me think that their mother was either dead or incapacited. May married in 1890 and Fanny in 1891. May had two children in Sri Lanka and then went to Malta. Fanny had one child in Sri Lanka and then went to India. both women died before 1913. We know nothing of their mother. At a previous suggestion I have written to the Mother Superior of the order in East Grinstead but as yet no response.
