Captain James Stewart - Ceylon Rifles

Hi Everyone

I am trying to find the father of my great great great grandfather Captain James Stewart. James served with his brother William in the Ceylon Rifles. He married Sarah Tissera a native girl and lived on Hill Street Colombo. He became Assistant Commissary General. He was born in 1793 or 94.
Three of his sons became Barristers including Sir Charles Henry Stewart who was acting Chief Justice of Ceylon for a while. His daughter Louisa married George Alexander Mackenzie, Chief of the Mackenzies of Dundonnel.

Any insights would be very welcome.

Nalin
