Hello Larry Andresen
Is it possible for you to post the things you transcribed from LDS somewhere on Fazli's Sri Lanka genealogy site? (Provided you want to). It would save others from having to go through the same documents.
If all of us transcribe and put some sections of info from LDS (that is not easily accessible through the internet), then work would be halfed (if you know what i mean).
LDS is getting volunteer transcribers for other countries, but not for Sri Lanka at this time. But, we need Sri Lanka microfilm/microfiche transcribed as well...and easily accessible to everyone.
If one person starts putting info onto some webpage (maybe Fazli's) then others might follow. That way we could eventually have substantial genealogy info for Sri Lanka/Ceylon.
I am familiar with the LDS Wolvendaal documents that are on the internet already. But am not familiar with ordering microfilm etc. Thaks for the info.
Re. books: i live in N. America...and have been ordering books through inter library loan. And going on Google to access free books. It would help to have a list of names to look for, so i started that list on this same forum. That is the post i was talking about. It would be nice if others can add further names to that list so that people can know about them.
