Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

The best place is to check in The Hague
http://www.en.nationaalarchief.nl/

for any of your ancestors who left from Europe to Ceylon:
http://vocseavoyagers.nationaalarchief.nl/

and then to the search page for family names at "advanced search":
http://vocseavoyagers.nationaalarchief.nl/search.aspx

I looked in my historical CDs but could not find any remarks on your family name in the spellings you gave. If you have more information and period details will be happy to check for more.
Jennifer
