will do as you say get cert by post with a covering letter, if Annie's father isn't Joseph Pixton she is not connected to the family i am looking for
the person i am really looking for is Mary Ellen Pixton who is my gt grandmother born in salford Lancs. i have not been able to locate her birth around 1860, so i am hoping Annie will provide the father to make the connection with the Pixton family in census reports i have found.

no father mentioned, he might still have been in the army

my mary E married in 1881 in stockport Cheshire said her father was joseph occupation cab driver. she always gave Salford on census even when married to James flanagan. but as i said before i have never found her birth. thanks again for your help bren
