Henry Rowlins

I have managed to find out quite a lot about William Rowlands from friends in Sri Lanka and I thank them for their efforts. I now understand that William's father might have been a Red Coat who was at the seige of Colombo in 1796 when the Dutch handed Ceylon over to the British. Henry was probably Welsh or Scottish. He settled down in Ceylon and married a woman called Wellalarge Magdalena. Could enyone please tell me how I can confirm this information.
