Hugh,

I never thought 6 months ago when I started looking into the geneaology of my family that I could actually get excited about my forebears. Your information has now done that and also opened many other avenues to explore - many thanks for your information. We would be most grateful if you would arrange for a request to be posted in the 'Ceylankan Genealogy Exchange'. It is possible, but by no means certain, that Donald Grant died in Queensland. Our Donald and his family remain a mystery. We think he originated in Golspie, Sutherland, Scotland. He married Elizabeth Robb and their daughter Annie Elizabeth was born in 1875. Elizabeth died in 1894 and if Donald left Ceylon we presume it was after her death.

Thanks again for your help.

Geoff Summers
