James W. Squier and Angeline Phillips Squier are my great-great-great grandparents.Angeline was born in Whitesboro, Cayuga County, NY 19 Jan 1813 and died in West Springfield, PA, on October 1, 1862.James W. Squier was born in Mentz township, Cayuga County, NY on April 3, 1807 and died in Jamestown, NY on Jan 20, 1893, and is buried in Lakeview Cemetery.I have a photo of Angeline's tombstone but do not know the cemetery.James W. later married a woman named Catherine Leach on on July 20, 1865.James Issac Squier is James W.'s son; James Issac is my great-great grandfather.I have diaries and letters of his from the 1850's and 1860's, as well as family bible pages that apparently belonged to James Issac, James W., and Edgar.Joseph died in the War of Rebellion at Spotsylvania. There was another child Ellen who died in 1869 while boarding at aPittsburgh girls' school. The details of her illness in the letters sounds like cholera.Edgar and George ended up being ministers later in life.Edgar married Emma Gray at about the same time James Issac married Louesa Woodard. Both weddings were inWaterford, PA.The Squier "sons" were teachers and shoemakers, operating a business out of Pleasantville, PA, during the oil boom. Just about all these guys had two wives; the women died early and the men lived to ripe old ages.Would you like a copy of all my information?I prefer to mail it rather than put it on the net.It is rather extensive and I think a copy of the original documents would be interesting to you.
