This question has kicked around for decades.
I think it started withg a man in 1923 who had a very "creative" story of his genealogy.
For excample. h\He claimed two Charles Spurlocks, father and son, were "highgly educated:" physicians educated in Edinburgh Scotland, For starters he did not have the generations straight as a John was between Charles born ca 1719 and Charles born ca 1773. We also know they were just dirt farmers, not physicians.
Personally, I think the Indian princess story is baloney. We know her name was Elizabeth.
