Godfrey Spruell’s October 21, 1684 grant (University of Virginia Colonial Collections) describes the boundaries, neighbors, oake trees etc, of “Spruells plantation”, concluding with “Ye sd Land being due by transportation of 7 psons.”. Godfrey + the 6 passengers that you listed aboard the Pelican would be 7 persons transported. Interesting. In addition to those that you mentioned, William Sproull along with John Marshall, Thomas Marshall, & Michael Marshall were also covenanters banished to America aboard the Henry & Franics, 5 Sept 1685. Francis Sprurrell emigrated aboard the James & Thomas of Plymouth 27 Oct-8 Nov 1679. Robert Innis, son of Robert Innis & Margaret Sproule, clergyman, edu, Kings College Aberdeen, sh 1677 to Virginia. FYI… Sprewll Johne & Mershall Cathrein were married 17 Nov 1640 in Glasgow Lanark).
