Trying to find information and pedigree of my gr gr grandmother, Elizabeth Sproul Gannon, b. Dec.25, 1806 in Canada, father James Sproul (info taken from death certificate). Settled in Washington Co.,NY about 1830. Died in Manchester, NH in 1878. Confusing things, 2 federal censuses list her birthplace as Ireland, same as husband James.
Closest match I could find on posted family genealogies is Abednego Sproul, Canada. He had daughter Elizabeth born in 1807, with no other info listed on her. Could Abednego's middle name be James?
Any help would be appreciated.
