Elizabeth Mae ("Mae") Sprinkle was born about Mar 1875 near Grant, Montgomery Co., IA. She was the daughter of Jesse Sprinkle & Martha Figgins. Mae married Joshua F. Petty about 1895. At the time of the 1900 census, they lived with Joshua's parents, Joshua & Mary. Mae & Joshua had at least 9 children. He died in 1945 and she died 7 Nov 1960.

The Sarah Sprinkle you mention is probably Sarah Agnes Sprinkle, who was Mae's sister. Sarah was born 12 Feb 1873 in Smith Co., KS and died 17 Jun 1930 in Montgomery Co., IA. She never married, but she had a daughter named Mary.

William Jackson Petty married Elizabeth Sprinkle on 21 Nov 1852, Perry Co., IN. Elizabeth was born 27 Nov 1832, Perry Co., IN. She was the daughter of Michael Sprinkle & Agnes Spears - and a sister to Jesse Sprinkle, Mae's father. William Petty was born 20 Oct 1828 in Switzerland Co., IN & died 31 Dec 1920, in Montgomery Co., IA. Elizabeth died 11 Apr 1887, Montgomery Co., IA. They had 5 children.

Hope this helps.
