Looking for information on a Henry Sprenkle (Sprinkle), Jr. (1772-1830) who was married to a Catherina Lesch (1774-1855. They were from York County, PA and moved to Columbiana Co. in Ohio, buried in Mahoning Co. Ohio.
I'm actually looking for information on Henry's wife: I am trying to determine if Catherina Lesch Sprenkel's parents are my 5xgr-grandparents. It is known that the Lesch family came from York County; their son Henry Lesch (spelled as Lesh after 1840) moved to Stark County, Ohio with his wife, Mary, and raised his family there.
I came across the baptismal record for Johan Henry Lesch (b. 1783) that was referenced in the Sprenkel website. I suspect this person could possibly be my 4Xgr-grandfather and am trying to find some proof. I also have an abstract of a York County will for Henry Losh (misspelling of Lesch) that names sons Zacharius and Henry; daughter Elizabeth and husband George Leininger, and daughter Catherina and her husband Henry Sprenkel (spelled Sprinkle)--this has to be the same Henry and Catherina listed in the Sprinkle tree.
Have any Sprinkle researchers ever uncovered any information on Henry Sprenkel and Catherina Lesch that may suggest that her brother is the Henry Lesch/Lesh of Nimishillen Township, Stark County, Ohio? Maybe someone has seen old documents, family letters, wills, bills of sale, etc. that might list names of Henry Sprenkel's wife's family.
Thanks so much!
