I've had to do a lot of research in PA on different lines so have a book that tells when counties were created and from what county or state.
The US claimed possession of Ohio by virtue of it's victory over the British in the Revolutionary War and was awarded the region in 1783. Ohio was a territory in 1799 and became a state in 1803

I live in Florida and sadly have never been in PA but hope to go there someday.
