Sandra, It's good to hear from you. I love the area between Lebanon and Watertown Tenn. It's so beautiful with the foothills before you and rolling green hills and valleys. When my brother and I were on our way to Watertown I felt such a kinship to the land. I looked over three of the almost impossible to read deeds and it looks like they have one location in common. The County of Wilson, the 1st distract by Round Lick Creek. Now, the church my brother and I attended was Round Lick Baptist Church it's in Watertown so Round Lick has to be close by. The three deeds were dated: 1) 1828 2) 1827 3) 1829. It would be nice to have a map of Wilson Co. Tenn. for the previous years.I'm trying to decipher these deeds.I will share the names I see on the deeds as the main principals of the transaction.Deed #1 has Thomas B. Springs and Benjamin Spring-s ( written in the deed both ways)area: in Wilson Co. in the state of Tenn. in the first district on both sides of the Round Lick Creek. #2 has Benjamin Springs and Thomas Springs+ John Shaw signed this deed.#3 has John Shaw of ( I think) Madison Co. Tenn. and Benjamin Springs - the land is located in the first district in the county of Wilson and on west side of Round Lick Creek contained in grant ???? 16967. I love to share my research, if someone does make progress with any of this information , please share it with the rest of us. Sincerely, Gloria Baran
