not much information on thomas sprigge (1604-1668 in northamptonshire) but there does seem to be evidence that his sister, elizabeth (b. circa 1600 in northamptonshire) was the first wife of governor william stone & accompanied him on the "temperance" to virginia in 1621, along with their infant son. she died in 1628 & he later married verlinda graves, sister-in-law of thomas sprigg (1630-1704), who was married to katherine (graves) roper: this, of course would make governor stone both a brother-in-law as well as uncle-in-law to thomas sprigg.
