This follow-up is a bit late, but I have not looked at my Sprigg ancestry for a long, long time. Martha Sprigg was my 6th great grandmother.
I am almost certain that most of the info I have seen posted came from a book written by John Prather in the 1980s. I have copies of his books and he has most of what I have been able to find out about the Spriggs/Prathers documented therein.
