Burial of C.H. Spratlin.
Mr. C.H. Spratlin, whose sudden death on Saturday morning at the Hutchins house of heart disease has already been reported in the Post, was buried yesterday in Evergreen cemetery. The remains were held thus long awaiting advices from his former home in Verbena, Ala. The deceased came from a fine family in Alabama, his aunt, Frances Griffin, who for twenty years had charge of a girls’ college at Montgomery, Ala., was well known throughout the South. She was also a co-adjutor of Miss Frances Willard. The funeral was held under the auspices of the Knights of Pythias, of which order deceased was a member.
