Benjamin was only 20 when he married Florence Rice (who was then age 18) in 1873. He passed in 1892, at the young age of 39; in the area of Chautauqua, New York.
They had at least one son Archibald Sprague, and at least three daughters with the surname of Sprague: Grace, Florence, Eunice. Archibald married Minnie Austin in 1897.
