Seeking information on AUGUSTE CHRISTINA DOROTHEA JACOBINE HANSEN, b 23 Dec 1834, likely at Eckernförde, Denmark/Germany, to Peter & Anna Maria <Iversen> Hansen. Believe Auguste married N.N.(?) SPOERER and resided in Chicago area.

Auguste's brother is: Peter Friedrich Theodor Hansen (also known as P.F.T. Hansen). He married in Chicago, 1866, to Maria Catherina SPOERER. Maria appears to have emigrated alone at age 21 in 1865 from Rudenhausen, Germany, and was said to live with relatives in Chicago, working at their brewery-restaurant.

Peter was said to have bought in 1865 a small grocery in Chicago, which he may have later sold to return east (possibly to NY). Was in Hoboken, NJ, in 1874, followed by a return to NY.

It is not known if Peter and Auguste emigrated at the same time. Also not known if N.N. Spoerer and Maria Catherina Spoerer are related.

Also, would be interested in information on any Chicago-area Spoerer families during the nineteenth century.

Thanks in advance for any information you may be able to provide.
