My line also of Yorkshire. I also descend from a William, b. ca 1759, Sampson County, NC, son of Matthew Spivey.
I notice that your line and my line have a common name, William and Edmond or Edmund. There was a William and Edmund Spivey of Yorkshire. It is obvious that our lines connect probably and unknown sibling of my ancestor, Matthew or one generation back. I know we are DNA related.
