I'm a descendant of William J Spinks b abt 1792 NC d. 1864 in Columbia Co., AR; and his son, Buddie P Spinks, b. 1823 Newton Co., GA
The above William was married to a Winfred ? Spinks at the time of his death. Another researcher sent me a copy of his probated will dtd 1866. In the will there is no mention of a Garrett H Spinks as being a son, but there is a mention of a Garrett H Spinks as being his grandson, son of Duncan J Spinks, b. 1833. Therefore the Garrett H mentioned as his grandson would have been b. much later than 1820.
Can I ask for your source document on the marriage of William Spinks and Beady Bohannon in Clarke Co., GA in 1816?
