Does anyone know who the father or parents are to John R. (Rufus)aka J.R. or Jack Spinks? John lived in and around Gonzales, Caldwell, and DeWitt counties in Texas. He was born in the 1850's and died near the cotton gin in Harwood, Texas in 1881. He was shot to death by George Patton over some mules that belonged to John.
