Spinks Family Genealogy Forum

Okay, as I think about it, my description is not quite accurate.
I think that the will was of the senior Spinks who died fairly old. I think that Linea English was his daughter-in-law. So what I remember from the documents was that the senior Spinks willed part of his property to Linea and her husband (his son), and then both he and Linea's husband died a few years apart leaving Linea a fairly young widow with I think seven minor children or so still living with her on her deceased father-in-law's land (left to her and her husband in his will.) I think that is correct and that Linea's sons were the ones in the civil war. I think Linea remarried if I recall.
Anyway, once I get the documents I can put up a correct genealogy. Until then, my memory is not perfect so don't take this as necessarily being correct.
