Hello, My name is Peter Spindlow and my mother was married to a Kenneth Baxter (Maynard) Spindlow in the late 50's. They seperated and subsequently lost contact. I was born after the seperation and have never seen my father. I have been contacted by my half sister(!?)who was elusive at best and did not want to carry on too much of a discussion as her husband did not want her to speak to me? This was back in 86 or 87 and I don't remember the call very well. She was apparently trying to tell me that my father was not a bad man and that he needed to speak to me? She would not give me her details and did not wish to speak further.

A short time later a man called and told me he was a solicitor acting on my fathers behalf and wanted me to know my father wished to speak to me as well. I do not remember this call very well either, however I did call my mother about it and she said she had just spoken to the same man and believed it was my father himself!

I have also been contacted by a Carole Bryan from Dallas, Georgis, USA inquiring about her half sister whose mother was apparently married to my father in England before he came to Australia. I believe her email is

I believe the Kenneth Spindlow you are acting on behalf of is the same person who wrote to me recently and who may have enlisted the aid of an organisation who specialise in searching for people as well. Please do not think me ignorant or rude for not replying, but at the time, and due to the previous carry-on and correspondence I did not wish to become involved. I have changed my mind now however and would be interested to hear from you or your associates in the future. I believe you may be able to help Carole in her search for her half-sister as well.

I hope this information is of some help.

Regards and best wishes,

Peter Spindlow.
