Rebecca Spiers, daughter of Joshua Spiers and Lucy Williams, married Asa Belt in Owen Co., KY. I have two conflicting dates for the marriage: 17 Dec 1819 and 19 Dec 1819.
It's been a while since I worked on this line, but I have Asa Belt, born 1789? in Montgomery Co., Md, died 1868?, son of Higginson Belt and Elizabeth Allen. Asa and Rebecca lived and farmed in Hardin Co., KY.
Of their children, I have the following:
1. son, age 5-10 in 1830 Hardin Co. census.
2. Elbert, born about 1832 in KY (blind).
3. Asa, born about 1835 in KY.
4. Evan W., born about 1836 in KY.
5. Lucy A., born about 1839 in KY.
6. Alonzo Leonidas, born 4 Jul 1843 in Hardin Co., KY, died 29 Dec 1928 in Kenton Co., KY, married 11 Aug 1871 in KY to Sarah Frances Strophlett.
7. Amanda B., born about 1848 in KY.
There may have been other children who died young. The family was still in Hardin County in the 1860 census. By 1870, Rebecca and three sons had moved to Owen County.
