I am interested in knowing relationship, if any, of SPIER BLACK to the WILLIAM W. BLACK family of Screven County, Georgia 1793 - 1830.
I found the following men enrolled 14 July 1800 in Capt. Clement Lanier's Volunteer Company of Artillery (Militia) , all residents of Screven County, Georgia:

Screven County was established 1793 from Burke and Effingham counties. In 1796 part was given to form Bulloch County and part given to form Jenkins in 1905.
Does anyone know family history of Spier Black?
