Mary Spencer was the second wife of Increase Allen. Increase died 1808 Washington Co., NY. One of their sons was Samuel Allen born 1779, married Rachel Buffett. Information on ancestry of Samuel Allen in "First Families Of America, Vol.II, page 407 states Mary was daughter of HY. Spencer" Who is HY. Spencer ?
