I am confused concerning the message recently posted regarding Hannah Spencer et al
The Judge Samuel Spencer (NC) discussed in this posting

has him married to Sybil Tisdale (Spencer) at the time of his death in 1793. There is also a Joseph Spencer who was married to Sarah Tisdale
Could there have been two Judge Samuel Spencers? If so, it is strange that both died in 1973 and both had close business associates named Joseph Spencer..... and all being from North Carolina.
I am a descendent of Joseph Spencer and Sarah Tisdale Spencer and have been trying to determine if there was a familial relationship (other than "in-law") between Joseph Spencer and Judge Samuel Spencer.. which is why I am asking.
That was very interesting about the turkey bite..and subsequent infection.
What do you make of this? There has to be two families whos lives have somehow become comingled.
