Does anyone out there have any information on the above- named persons? Records show they were married Dec 10, 1840 in Carroll Co., TN. It is believed that William died in August 1841 before a son was born to Elizabeth in Nov. 1841. It is assumed the son was named James Monroe. A guardian was appointed, I believe, in late 1841 or early 1842, but I have misplaced my notes so do not have the name. Elizabeth later remarried either a Brevard or Green. Then, Alfred B. Thomason, a son of William J by another marriage, was appointed guardian over a minor child of William J. shown as James M in 1850. Did Elizabeth also die leaving James M an orphan? My interest is that James Monroe Thomason b. Nov 22, 1841, was my great-grandfather. Any tidbit of info will be appreciated.
