Seeking any information on this civil war soldier. 77th New York Infantry Regiment, Co D.

SPENCER, SAMUEL G.--Age, 32 years. Enlisted, September 14, 1861, at Homer, to serve three years; mustered in as private, Co. D, October 4, 1861; captured in action, August 29, 1862, at Bull Run, Va.; paroled, no date; wounded in action, July 1, 1863, at Gettysburg, Pa.; died of his wounds, July 8, 1863. Buried at Gettysburg National Cemetery
