Would appreciate any help on Samuel Thane Spencer. I always thought that he must have died in Lee county, IA sometime after 1870, because I couldn't find him on the census. But I found by chance an S. T. Spencer on the 1880 census in Thayer, NE the right age and with a wife by the name of E. W. which on the 1870 census he is listed with a wife named Eliza. I found that a Samuel T. Spencer married Eliza W. Swartz in Clark, MO 25th Feb 1870.
Does anyone have anymore information on Samuel and Eliza after the 1880 census, can't find much out about Thayer county, NE.
