While reading the history of the Woolen Mill in
Charlottesville,va I came upon the names of the
following names re: a strike of the workers
Alonzo( Art) Spencer - walked off
James Spencer- stayed on the job

Several Members of my Pace family in Virginia
have the middle name of Spencer and I wonder
why.
John R.Pace B. 1809
had a son Richard A. Pace who married
Mary Susan Gregory their children were:
Bessie Spencer Pace m. Thomas Grover Failes
Ruth Pace m. E. Buck
Nancy Pace m. Breeden and Wilkinson

Edna Louise Pace m. Harvey Spencer Seay

anyone connect to the Spencers at the mill?
