Ancestry lists, on the Carroll Co.,MS marriage records,the following;
William Spencer to H.B. Felts(sic)9 Apr. 1860 these are the parents of William Lafayett Spencer.

W.L. Spencer to (Jennie)Bell Shelton 8 Oct. 1884
The 1880 census for Carroll Co. lists Jennie, age 24,living with her siblings in the home of her mother, Lagina Shelton, and next door to her brothers and their families. Based on this census, Jennie was born in 1856 rather than 1854 as shown on the 1900 census.
