Don't think I have much of direct substance to add but I've shared before on Spencer board that my PGGF Alvan Spencer, born ca 1842 in Jersey, Ohio had Native American ancestry. His grandfather Ichabod Spencer from Muskegum Co Ohio was married to Mary Smith, came to OH about 1805; his brother David wrote him that their great grandmother "was an Indian woman" but did not say which grandmother. His cheekbones etc showed strong resemblance. There was an Elenor in the family but I don't know if she lived in Trumble Co, but certainly it isn't far away and is a possible connection. You might reference the genealogy of Ichobod for further possible connections.Good luck!
