The Spell/Stroble connection is prob. bef.
1830. I have been working on the Hussey
family of Colleton Co. all summer. I have a
Mary Ann C. Stoble married to John M. Hussey
bef. 1860 in St. George, SC. John and Mary
had 2 children, Annie and John W.(who changed
his last name and left SC after a falling out
over property, etc., issues with his sister
Annie). Annie married David Adolph Reeves.
David and Annie (Hussey) Reeves' fifth child
was Annie Laura Reeves who supposedly married
a Knight when she was 13, he 54. Annie later
married Robert Bryan ALdrich in Charleston.
Robert and Annie were my grandparents.
Mary Ann Hussey was called 'BIG MOMMA' by
grandchildren; Mary lived with the Reeves
by 1880 census. In the 1870 census, Mary
Hussey is living with John W.,Ann; a George
Stroble?and Elizabeth Stroble?, whom I cannot
identify as of yet. She is listed in line
202. Line 203 is Edward L. Hussey and his
family. Edward L. is brother to John M. Hussey.
