Looking for information about Capt. John Speir, d.1764 in Pitt Co. NC. His wife's name was Martha and they had sons James and Jesse and daughter Apsley; Apsley married first John Holland and had son Speir Holland, and then John Kennedy and had children Apsley, John, William, Martha, & Willie Kennedy. Capt. John Speir was probably brother to Col. William Speir who was in Pitt Co. at about the same time; William had a son John.
