Looking for information on the following members of the Spidel family. They were from PA (possibly Lancaster, Somerset or Union Counties). Moved from PA to OH in 1836. They lived in Darke County while in OH then Carroll County while in IN.
David Spidel was born 12 Feb 1797 in Pennsylvania. He died 26 Sep 1863 in West Milton, Ohio
and was buried in Newcomer Cemetery, Franklin Township, Darke County, Ohio. David married Barbara.
They had the following children:
Henry Spidel was born 10 May 1833 in Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
He died 24 Jan 1904 in Cerro Gordo, Paitt, Illinois, USA and was buried in Pyrmont Cemetery,
Carroll County, Indiana. Henry married Hester (Esther) Brandt, daughter of
Johannes (John) Brandt and Elizabeth Ginsler, on 26 Mar 1857 in Darke County, Ohio.
Hester was born 18 Jun 1837 in Ohio. She died 24 Oct 1902 in Carroll
County, Indiana and was buried in Pyrmont Cemetery,Pyrmont, Indiana.
John Spidel was born 10 May 1833. He died 10 Sep 1897 in Gettysburg, Ohio and was
buried in Gettysburg Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio. John married Margaret Marker,
daughter of Jacob Marker and Sarah Shively, on 4 Apr 1858 in Darke County, Ohio.
Margaret was born 25 Sep 1835 in Painter Creek, Darke County, Ohio. She died
17 Jul 1918 and was buried 21 Jul 1918 in Gettysburg Cemetery, Darke County,Ohio.
Susannah Spidel was born 9 Jun 1826 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She died 23 Sep 1904
in Cerro Gordo, Illinois and was buried in Cerro Gordo, Illinois. Susannah married
Jacob Peter Replogle on 23 Aug 1846 in Carroll county, Indiana. Jacob was born
9 Jun 1827 in Montgomery County, Ohio. He died 8 Jan 1917 in Cerro Gordo, Illinois.
Caroline Spidel was born 9 Jan 1828. She died 13 Mar 1890 in Cerro Gordo, Illinois
and was buried in East Frantz Cemetery, Willow Branch Township, Macon County, Ohio.
Caroline married Henry L. Kuns, son of John Kuns and Hannah Wolf, on 15 Aug 1848 in
Carroll county, Indiana. Henry was born 30 Dec 1824 in Montgomery County, Ohio.
He died 6 Feb 1893 in Lordsburg, California and was buried in East Frantz Cemetery,
Willow Branch Township, Macon County, Ohio.
Lydia Spidel was born 1830. Lydia married John Mote.
